Meet Mr. Vaching Roaring,
Philippines Trade Attache based at the Embasssy in New Delhi
INDIAN EMBASSY IN MANILA INCREASED BUSINESS VISA FEES, but mantains Tourist Visa fees, effective July 1 2008.
Effective July 1 2008, the following are the fees of Visa Applications at the Indian Embassy in Manila.
As of this write-up it is still difficult to enter Dasmarinas Village if your car/vehicle does not have a Multi-village or Dasma sticker. More so for those who are commuting. Dasma Village Association have banned applicants from wanting to go to the Embassy if the applicant's name is not listed with the security guards at the gate by the Indian Embassy. It is a general practice of Embassies, where applicants do not need appointments to go to the Embassy, not to issue appointment schedules. Indian and Chinese applicants do not need a appointment to enter their embassies, since applicantions are on first come first serve basis. Embassies like the USA, Spain and many European embassies require prior appointments to enter their premises, for visa applications.
There are more than 10 embassies located inside the Dasamarinas Village, and many have filed protest against this policy
INDIAN EMBASSY SHORTEN
VISA APPROVAL TIME
The Indian Embassy deserves our kudos
for shortening the time period for Filipinos
and Resident foreign nationals {non-Indians}
applying for Indian visa.
Previously, it would between three to
six days but now it has been reduced to 24 hours or the next
working day.
It was possible to get a visa in 24 hours
before, but a request letter and express
payment of Pesos 4200 was required.
Now this 24 hours period does not require
any express payment but only the basic
visa fees.
Congratulations, Ambassador Rajeet Mitter
and Visa Consul Chander Singh.
SCHENGEN VISA NOW TO COVER
24 COUNTRIES
SCHENGEN
visa which was valid for entry to 15 European
countries will now be valid for 24 countries.
Effective Dec 21, you could do so only
if you will enter these nine countries
by Land or via any seaport. But if you
will be traveling by air, then you will
have to wait until March end, 2008 before
you could do so.
Take note that this visa does not cover
United Kingdom or Switzerland. A separate
visa is required. To clarify which Embassy
one should apply with, it is a standard
policy that you must apply with the country
where you would make your first entry
into Europe or in the Embassy of that
country, where you would be staying the
longest.
The nine new countries are Czech Republic,
Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta,
Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
The original
15 countries comprises of Austria, Belgium,
Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland,
Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal,
Spain, Sweden and Norway.
In Asia, if you are holding a passport
of any of these countries, you could travel
freely among these countries. The countries
are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia,
Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines,
Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Hong
Kong does not require visa for Indians
or Filipinos.
India requires entry visa from all nationals
of all countries except two: Bhutan and
