Thank you for your support. The Immigration Book i compiled earned me an award from DOJ.
On Friday the 4th of September I recieved an award from the Bureau of Immigration / Dept. of Justice. Sec. Agnes Devandera (lady in blue) and Commissioner Marcelino Libanan. This was definitely a first time, according to some respected old timers of the Philippines, that such award has been given to an Filipino Indian.
This was in their acceptance and appreciation of the 2009 PHILIPPINES IMMIGRATION UPDATE BOOK which i compiled and published. This 160 page book was a first: first from an Indian in the Philippines, first only such book of the Immigration and first such book at no cost to the government.
This was presented in the presence of various Ambassadors, chamber officers, and a big number from the Bureau of Immigration and the Press.
I would like to further inform my dear friends, supporters, advertisers, buyer of the book and all those who helped me with that i truly appreciate your support.
My purpose of publishing this book was truly for the love of the Philippines and India.
As a matter of further information, more than 400 books were given away as compliments. These numbers included the various BI heads and offices nationwide, Philippine Embassies and consulates worldwide, Senators and selected congressmen, heads of governmenet agencies, officers of various chambers, foreign embassies and consulates in the Philippines, and many businesmen. Some universities and colleges have too been reciepient of this book. Selected private family clubs were given books for their library.
With my deepest gratitude, and my humility, I accept this award and hope that your support will encourage me to write some more books. I would like to thank all those invovled in the publication of this book and especially my family for their cooperation.
